In our first meeting of the spring semester we elected new officers and were introduced to our new library liaison, Laura Palumbo. We also decided to do some benchmarking about officer titles, and discussed upcoming programming. View the meeting minutes for more details.
December 5, 2013
At the December meeting we discussed the Colloquium panel that we co-sponsored (the event was a success!) and we also talked about volunteer opportunities at the VALE conference in January. We also talked about how we might use funds, and agreed that we have enough that members could write a proposal to use funds for professional development activities such as conferences or classes. We will have several positions open in the Spring semester and will talk about them more at the January meeting.

November 7, 2013
At the November meeting we had two guest speakers from NJLA who discussed membership benefits. We also talked about proposing a panel for the NJLA conference, and gave an update on plans for the MLIS Colloquium that we are co-sponsoring on December 4.

At the October meeting we had two guest speakers, Martin Kesselman from the RU libraries and Gracemary Smulewitz from NJLA-CUS/ACRL-NJ. We also reviewed our activity survey, the job shadowing program and member news.

In the first meeting of the semester we introduced new members, nominated a new webmaster, discussed potential programming for the upcoming semester, solicited blog postings, reviewed the NJLA internship program and shared an article on academic libraries.
