Digital Accessibility in Academic Libraries
Come and join SCARLA on December 9th at 6:30 PM EST to explore some important topics regarding digital accessibility!
The event will address basic questions, such as what digital accessibility means in academic libraries. Almost everything is digital today, and it is essential to ask how academic libraries can assist students with cognitive or learning disabilities when they try to access resources or information on library websites.
The panelists will help the audience understand why digital accessibility matters in academic libraries, how WCAG 2.1 and ADA Title II apply to library websites and applications, and how digital accessibility can support diverse learners. They will also explore questions about surveillance motivations behind the recent accessibility legislation.
