Welcome to SCARLA
The Student College, Academic, and Research Libraries Association (SCARLA) organizes speakers, lecture series, events, trips and workshops to promote our understanding of academic librarianship. We aim to foster community among the students, faculty and librarians at SC&I and the Rutgers Library System and participate in conferences and activities sponsored by professional organizations at both the state and national level.
We are also affiliated with the NJLA College and University Section and the ACRL New Jersey Chapter.

SCARLA Event – Alumni Career Panel & Semester Reflections
To close out the semester, SCARLA is hosting a two-part event on Tuesday, April 22.
Join our panel of recent MI grads to discuss their careers in academic librarianship and their time in the Rutgers MI program. Then, get to know your fellow students! Come brag about your semester successes, commiserate your struggles, get advice, or simply hang out with the community.
Alumni Career Panel – 7:00-7:30 PM – A panel of recent MI grads will be joining us to discuss their careers thus far, how their expectations from school differed from the real world, and how the program prepared them.
Open Floor Discussion – 7:30-8:00 PM – Get to know your fellow students! Come brag about your semester successes, commiserate your struggles, get advice, or simply hang out with the community. Everyone is welcome!Event information:
