SUMMARY:Digital Accessibility in Academic Libraries
DESCRIPTION:Come and join SCARLA on December 9th at 6:30 PM EST to explore some important topics regarding digital accessibility! \n\nThe event will address basic questions\, such as what digital accessibility means in academic libraries. They will also explore questions about surveillance  motivations behind the recent accessibility legislation.  \nMeeting information:  \nDate: Wednesday\, December 9th\, 2026 \nTime: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM EST \nLocation: Zoom \nPanelists: \n● Rebecca Albrecht Oling\, Director of Digital Accessibility and Librarian at SUNY Purchase College \n●  Amelia Acker\, Associate Professor\, School of Communication at Rutgers University  \n● Antonio Barrera\, Associate Director of Information Technology at Rutgers University \n● Amy Wolfe\, Accessibility Librarian at City University of New York. \n  \n\n\nRegister here: https://rutgers.zoom.us/meeting/register/PwTH5_DQSBG9b7XdzcrzCQ \n\n\nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
